Catch seeks opportunities to work closely with entrepreneurs and their lead investors to provide added value through our networked relationships and expertise in “go to market” strategy. Catch generally invests between $50-$100k in two to five deals per year.

Recent exits include Skiphop, acquired by Fireman Capital Partners (6X) and the Echo Nest, acquired by Spotify (5X).

Michael Cohen has been a New York-based entrepreneur, marketing consultant, and early-stage technology investor since 1995.

About Michael Cohen

Michael is the President and Co-Founder of The Pass, a vertical, adult use cannabis producer launching in July 2020 in the Berkshires. He has been an entrepreneur, consultant, and investor focused on building connection between brands and consumers through technology, community, and shared values.

After stints as a high school English teacher and insurance salesman, Michael moved to New York, got an MBA, and co-founded the pioneering marketing agency, iballs Internet Media – a company that helped define the Internet’s value as a marketing channel before it’s acquisition (and IPO) by aQuantive in 2000. Soon thereafter, Michael got a dog, had kids, moved to the country, and put up his shingle as Catch Interact to consult for and invest in emerging business.

Other career highlights include co-founding the East Yoga Center studio, partnering in homebuilder Modern Green Home, investing in The Echo Nest and Skiphop, and launching social media for home décor chain Mecox Gardens. Current early-stage investments include TripleLift, Fatherly,, and Pollen.

A native Philadelphian, Michael lives in Great Barrington, MA in the Berkshire Mountains with his three children. He holds a B.A. in English from Tufts University and an MBA in Marketing and Media Management from Columbia University.
